All of CDA’s instructors are required to submit a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) form as part of their employment with Centerpoint Driving Academy

Yes, Centerpoint Driving Academy is fully licensed and approved by the Massachusetts RMV. In addition, CDA is fully insured for covering all it’s employees and vehicles.

The classroom portion of the fee is included in the SUV packages we offer.

The parent class is free if you purchase the SUV package. If purchased separately the cost is $30.

CDA offers two payments as indicated below: Prepayment Plan – Pay in full at the time of registration.. 3 Payment Plan for Bronze SUV Package - Pay $350 deposit at time of registration, $350 before the first lesson, and $349 before the sixth lesson. All payments must be made on line through the portal.

Driving lessons are part of the SUV Package. The is no additional charge for observation. The total for 12 hours of driving and 6 hours observation is covered in each package.

All students have an online user portal access with a password. ALL payments must made online via credit or debit card through the student portal. We accept Master Card, Visa, Discover, American Express and Debit Cards.

Lessons may be scheduled 45 days in advance with pre-payment. Lessons must be scheduled a minimum of 96 hours apart so that the student has adequate time to practive. Yes, students can make up missed class by a attending a future scheduled class covering the same modules.

Yes, students can opt to complete their road test in an SUV

When scheduling lessons students may designate whether they want to be picked up at home or their local high school.

If you have completed a parent class within the past five years, you do not have to complete it again. However, you will need to provide proof of attendance.

Centerpoint offers off site road tests where the RMV will provide examiners to come to our site and conduct road testing. The RMV controls what day the test will be held on. This is usually known the week before the test. The RMV charges an additional fee for this service to the student and it is not included in the suv package.

All students are required to complete 5 hours of behind the wheel instruction with a licensed adult prior to taking their first lesson with CDA.

The cost of the road test is included as part of your package fee. This includes the sponsorship, the use of Centerpoint vehicle, and warm-up lesson before testing. The fee for Centerpoint driver's ed student re-takes in the event of a previous failure with Centerpoint is $145.

You will need your permit and a properly and legibly completed application form in pen that is signed by you and your parent/guardian who authorizes you to obtain your license. Click on the link on our web site for License Application.

Dress appropriately and show the examiner that you’re ready to have your license and responsible enough to be out on your own. No hats, pajamas, and do not wear sandals or flip-flops during driving lessons and especially on test day.

There are no refunds once a service has been purchased. There is a $50 cancellation fee for any driving lesson that is not cancelled more than 48 hours in advance.

The package plans includes scheduling of the Road Test, Examiner from RMV, vehicle for Road Test and sponsorship for a Road Test (it does not include RMV fees - $50 License and $35 Road Test scheduling fee - which you will pay directly to the RMV). If the road test is not at an RMV location, it is an additional $35 fee on the day of the test.

Yes, you can. Once you pass the road test and pay your fees, your permit will serve as your temporary driver's license until your permanent license arrives in the mail.

You are eligible to take a road test after you have had a permit for 6 months (184 days) of incident-free driving (no at-fault crashes or moving violations). You must complete all class, exam, and behind wheel driving hours 21 days before you the date you can take the road test.

Great news! A student can book their RMV off site road test when they register for the SUV package online or after the completion of their 7th driving lesson online via the student portal. When you have registered as a new student you will receive an email with a login and password to the student portal where you can track all of your activities with CDA including driving lessons, classes completed, observation hours and parent class.

You are eligible to take a road test after you have had a permit for 6 months (184 DAYS TO BE EXACT) of incident-free driving (no at-fault crashes or moving violations. In addition, a student must have satisfactorily completed all of the RMV required activities. These requirements include 30 hours of classroom training, 2 hour parent class, 12 hours of behind the wheel driving lessons, and 6 hours of observation time, AND per the RMV “Parents or Guardians are responsible for making certain that their teen has completed not less than 40 hours of supervised driving or 30 hours of supervised driving if the applicant has successfully completed a driver skills development program in addition to the requirements of drives education.”

All CDA Road Tests are held at the RMV location in Milford – 14 Beach Street.

CDA offers a road test on Saturday's OR Sunday’s, but all testing is subject to RMV availability.  The RMV dictates what day the test will be usually the week before the test.

The cost to obtain your license is a total of $85 for your first time license, $50 plus a $35 Road Test Fee payable online at https://atlas-myrmv.massdot.state.ma.us/myrmv/_/ These fees must be paid prior to the Road Test! In addition, they also charge CDA, a $25 convenience fee for each student that takes an off site road test.  CDA pays the ‘convenience fee’, not you.  The student must pay this fee online via the CDA student portal no later than 7 days before your road test date. IF you fail to pay this fee 7 days in advance you may be bumped from the test and have to wait 2-4 weeks to get rescheduled.

Convenience! What this means is you don’t have to schedule the lesson with the RMV which can be very challenging. We are certified by the RMV to conduct off-site Road Tests on weekends, so we get priority for scheduling these tests Comfort! You take the test in the same SUV vehicle that you have taken all of your driving lessons in for the past few months!

You will need your permit (Non-laminated and legible) and a properly and legibly completed application form in PEN that is signed by you and your parent/guardian who authorizes you to obtain your license.
