Parental Commitment to Behind-the-Wheel Practice
All parents are required to sign the RMV contract, which includes a commitment to providing 40 hours of behind-the-wheel practice with your student. This is mandatory and non-negotiable.
Practicing the technical skills learned during each lesson is crucial to your student’s success. These skills are a critical part of the RMV road test, which they must pass to earn their driver's license. Consistent practice is essential, as there is no substitute for hands-on driving experience.

Certified Instructor will be in a CDA vehicle when you take the road test at the RMV.

Completion of the Adult Package is dependent on a student's availability during normal business hours of 9AM - 8PM weekdays and 9AM - 5PM on Weekends. Please note that students can not take back to back lessons on a daily basis, as there must be adequate time to practice between lessons. Lessons are not a substitute for regular practice outside of a student's scheduled lessons. Depending on a student's skill set and practice time this process can take 3 - 6 months.

**** The RMV requires First-time Testers to wait at least 14 days! NO EXCEPTIONS.
You cannot re-take the test the next weekend. If CDA determines you need more time and lessons they will discuss this with you to determine the best path forward to earn your license.
You do not have to re-pay your license fee but you are required to pay the RMV re-test fee in addition to our fee.
