OUR STORY
Centerpoint Driving Academy was founded by two fathers who strongly believe that teens aren’t getting enough out of Driver’s Ed. With seven children between us, we’ve served as the point men for all auto-related problems – putting air in the tires, explaining dashboard alerts, changing tires, etc. Our kids were clueless about these fundamental skills because, as they told us: “We never covered that”. It became clear to us that while Driver’s Ed programs are helping students get their license, they are not doing enough to prepare them for what happens after they have it.
At CDA, we believe that when it comes to the safety of new drivers, the bare-minimum is simply not enough Our free, one-of-a-kind LIFE SKILLS program gives students hands-on experience with important technical skills like changing a tire and checking tire air-pressure. We also give pointers on what to do if an accident occurs and how to respond if they are pulled over by an officer. In addition, we offer the choice of SUV behind-the-wheel lessons so teens can get comfortable driving the family tank.
As parents, we can’t always be a phone call away when our kids need help. That’s why we’ve made it our goal to give them the skills and confidence they need to help themselves.
ABOUT JIM BEYER

Has over 14+ years of experience as both a driving instructor and classroom teacher of driver education.

25+ years working as a School Psychologist, Clinician and Therapist for teens and adults, specializing in teens.

25+ years of coaching teens in athletics at the youth, high school and collegiate level.

Past member of various local Boards of Directors, town government.

Former business owner of specialized educational business in the local area for 18 years
OUR OBJECTIVES

To train competent and responsible teen and adult drivers.

To develop "thinking" teen and adult drivers, "defensive" driving skills, and "on the road" social responsibility.

Develop the tools and skills necessary to safely operate a vehicle, as well as an elevated appreciation of what it means to be a safe driver.

To prepare students to make a lifetime of correct choices on the road.

Teenage Driver’s Ed is an important step toward becoming a safe, responsible driver, and Centerpoint Driving Academy is the best place to do it. Locally-owned and RMV-certified, we offer easy online enrollment and lesson scheduling so teens can start learning faster. Our flexible courses are taught by state-certified driving instructors. Centerpoint Driving Academy serves Hopkinton, Holliston, Ashland, Medway, Franklin, Milford, Bellingham, Mendon, Upton, Uxbridge, Hopedale, Grafton, Douglas, Northbridge, Whitinsville, and Westboro.

We are looking for both, experienced, and inexperienced Professional Driving Instructors

All Instructors must be certified by the State of Massachusetts as Driving Instructors

Training will be provided for those who do not currently hold a PDI License

All applicants must pass a CORI check annually

Must be over 21 years old

Must have clean driving record
