Centerpoint Driving Academy was founded by two dads with seven kids between them. As soon as their teens started driving, important gaps quickly appeared in their driver’s education. Fundamental road survival skills, such as putting air in tires, changing a flat tire, decoding dashboard alerts, and more. They were clueless about these basics, because, as they said, “We never covered that”

It became clear: driver’s education might help teens pass the test, but it doesn’t prepare them for real-world driving.
At CDA, we believe the bare minimum isn’t enough. The unique CDA Survival Skills program gives students hands-on experience with essential tasks like checking tire pressure, changing a tire, and knowing what to do in a roadside emergency, or during a traffic stop. CDA even offers behind-the-wheel lessons in SUVs—because that’s what most teens will actually drive. It’s free, and only CDA offers it.

As parents, we know we won’t always be a phone call away. That’s why our mission is simple: give teens the skills and confidence to help themselves—on the road and beyond.
